Tokyo House Little Rock, Arkansas

Jay, David, and I went to Tokyo House in Little Rock based on a recommendation from a member from our church. And let me just say thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This is the BEST sushi bar in the area. It’s the biggest quality Asian buffet we’ve ever been to.

Parking

There’s plenty of parking! There is an entire parking lot to choose from. Lots of overflow.

Location

This is right across the Macaroni Grill. The address is 11 Shackleford Drive in Little Rock, Arkansas.

First Impressions

We thought the water of the fish pond was a wee bit dirty. It was a cool feature, but a little dirty.

Selection of Food

There were so many choices it was hard to catalog and choose. I saw jellyfish and HAD to try it. Jay had some udon noodles and I tried that and they were great.

Typical Wait Time

The service was great. We didn’t wait but a few minutes for a waitress to take our drinks.

Staff? Friendly, efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable water and waitresses?

The staff were really efficient and courteous. They didn’t seem to speak much English, and we didn’t have any questions.

Seating Arrangements

There were two main areas to sit in. One was in the back where we sat with the other families. The front area was for older and/or folks without children.

Quantity and Quality of Food

The food was great. I was only slightly disappointed that there were no saltine crackers for the raw oysters. The quality of food was great. You got as much as you wanted to eat, so the quantity was up to you.

Beverage Selection? Wine List? Bar?

There was a wine list, but no bar to sit at (unless you sat at the sushi bar).

Children’s Menu?

There was a kids menu, but we forced David to choose from the buffet like a little adult (that he thinks he is sometimes).

Dessert Menu?

The dessert menu was fruit and some other Asianish desserts. I’m not familiar with the names, but the little cake with the red and white icing was the bomb. Watermelon was really sweet.

Prices?

The prices were $11.95 to $20.95 depending upon when you go.

Acoustics? Music?

They were playing like Asian pop music.

Attractive decor? Well-kept and updated?

The decor was definitely updated and well-kept.

Sanitation

The waitresses did a great job and cleaning and taking plates and refilling drinks. The place was very clean.

Bathroom Cleanliness?

The bathroom was very clean when I went in.

Atmosphere? Romantic setting? Family setting? Singles hangout?

This is an all of the above place to hang out. I like that they sat the crying babies together (eyeroll) and the area with people with no kids was relatively quiet. We will definitely go back here.
