Verona’s Italian Restaurant Benton, Arkansas

To celebrate Mother’s Day early, we went to Verona’s Italian Restaurant. Their tables were no nonsense and it’s down Home American Italian Food. Is that even a thing?

This is the outside. It’s right off the highway. The first time we ate here, we could smell he deliciousness from Interstate 30. No joke.

For our appetizer we had focaccia bread (which this isn’t actual focaccia bread, but tasty nonetheless). We ordered the calamari but they were out. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You get bread and butter on the table. Yummy.

David got the kids lasagna and he ate some of it. I think he was full on bread.

I had the sketti and meatballs just like last time. It was sooooo good. I love acidic sauce and this was perfect.

Jay had the sketti works which had meat sauce, meatballs and Italian sausage. He told me it wasn’t as good as mine but he ate it all anyway.

Here’s what it looks like from the inside. There was a kid inside being waaaaay too loud. Like if your kid is screaming in the restaurant shut that down! Other people exist in the world folks! Anywho.

David had a cannoli which he ate half of. Jay and I shared a cannoli and it was super good. None of the desserts are made in house.

We also had a “lemoncello” cake. I always thought lemoncello was an alcoholic drink because I’ve had it before but…..it was ok. I enjoy Lemony Snicket desserts. Wait. I mean lemony lemon desserts. If it makes me pucker then it’s perfect.

We will totally eat here again. I think you’d like it if you’re in the vicinity.
